Advanced Bio-Circular (ABC) Materials
Arkema will highlight new innovation in its ABC materials derived from castor beans, a crop that does not compete directly with food and does not cause deforestation. Special focus will be placed on Arkema’s activities to drive more sustainable castor farming – highlighting the recent sustainable castor farming tour which brought over twenty customers to the castor fields in India. Several new grades will be featured which demonstrate the outstanding combination of light weight, outstanding impact properties, and flexibility. All this while offering a typical carbon footprint reduction of about 60% compared to fossil fuel-based alternatives.
Arkema is currently starting up a major capacity expansion in Singapore, and building a polyamide 11 powders plant on its Changshu platform in China, delivering on our global ambition to supply customers from within each major region.
Special attention will be directed at sports, consumer electronics, 3D printing, textile, industrial and clean mobility applications.
